Pre-33 U.S. Gold

The U.S. Mint produced gold from 1795 -1933 in $20, $10, $5, $3, $2.5, and $1 denominations. Later date pre-33 gold often trade as an alternative to bullion with common date $20s, $10s, and $5s in Circ-BU grades trading close to spot. $20 coins contain 0.9676 troy ounces of gold. The other gold denominations contain a proportional amount of gold with a $5 Liberty containing 0.2419 ozT, and so on.   These coins are collectible with many better dates and some real rarities.
