The Royal Canadian Mint makes Maple Leafs in a variety of weights, 1 oz, 1/2 oz. 1/4 oz, 1/10th oz, 1/20th oz, and 1g (the renowned Maplegrams).

Maples are made in 0.9999 pure gold since 1983. Prior to 1983, Maples were made in 0.999 pure gold, the difference being practically meaningless unless you are melting them for semiconductor manufacturing. Since 2024 they have had King Charles on the reverse. Prior to 2024, Queen Elizabeth adorned the coin.
